I am a Licensed Massage Therapist who became interested in massage through my love of yoga. I began practicing yoga in 2004 as a means to heal neck and upper back pain caused by the stress of a corporate office job. It didn’t take long for me to become completely pain-free. I devoted myself to my yoga practice and completed a 200-hour teacher training program in 2009.
I have always been drawn to the therapeutic aspects of yoga, so from there, the shift for me to study massage and bodywork was quite natural. I put my yoga teaching on hold to enroll at the Institute for Therapeutic Massage in 2010. I was licensed by the State of New Jersey in 2011, and left my corporate job soon afterwards to pursue a career in massage therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including spas and chiropractic offices. I opened up my own practice in Montclair in 2013, and moved to Verona in 2018. I believe very strongly in helping others to achieve and maintain overall wellness and pain-free living through holistic means such as massage, aromatherapy and energy work.
Why I do what I do (and why I love it): as one of my teachers said, pain-free living is our birthright. There is no greater gift that I can give people than to help free them from pain! When we are pain-free in our physical bodies, the mind and spirit will most certainly follow this path.
